Heading to Druplicon Boston 2008

It seems like Barcelona only happened a few short weeks ago, yet here it is, time to pack up for the trip to a sold out Druplicon in Boston. I've been able to pull my head out of working long enough to participate in two sessions this time around, Popular Science - Case Study and Drupal in the real world: Challenges of professional enterprise Drupal development.

Popular Science was an amazing project that I functioned as Lead Developer on. It brings about many innovative modules and techniques that have already proven invaluable for us at pingVision and I look forward to being able to discuss what we have accomplished. I've learned a good deal about Drupal since I have entered the community, the Popular Science website represents some of the best parts of that knowledge.

The Drupal in the real world: Challenges of professional enterprise Drupal development session will be more in line with a round table discussion. Agile gets thrown around a good deal as a buzz word and a development methodology. It fosters an adaptive approach to coding that is similar to what has been happening in the world of business and management. Constantly growing and evolving markets bring about constantly changing workflows. This presentation is geared towards frankly discussing what works, what does not, and to discuss the different approaches being used by Real World Drupal shops.

This is an incredibly exciting time representing the hard work we have all been doing ... I think this quote from the d.o frontpage is indicative of what we have all been experiencing: "We apologize, we thought doubling the capacity for the conference in 6 months would have been sufficient. Silly us." ... It's a sold out show, See You There!
